Costume and Talent Management
In addition to my role as the Talent Coordinator, I was also hired to repair and maintain costumes for Dazzling Nights. The original costume was peeling, and cracking, and had some damage that exposed the interior. I repainted, sewed patches, incorporated black mesh to conceal the eyes, and applied a protective sealant to enhance durability. Additionally, I identified that the bubble snow used in the scene contained rubbing alcohol, which was causing further damage to the costume. Proactively addressing this concern, I implemented changes to the performer's location in the scene to mitigate wear and tear on the suit. I took pride in managing the performers. The performers surprised me with a kind card the last day of our run, which said exactly what my hope was: “Thank you for making all performers feel welcomed, safe, cared for, and appreciated.”
